Just like Apple's iPod Touch and iPhone, the third-party apps of the iPad are filling the news and discussions in almost every media outlet. What I like: when closed it is like armor for my PSP. The instructions for the charge part are really poor, but it's easy enough to figure out. The speakers are not very powerful, however if you just want to be able to listen to your music or watch a movie or video hands free it's great. It works in situations where you have to be considerate of others. So perfect for dorms, or shared living enviroments.
What I don't like: If you have fingers of steel, and break things easily, then don't buy this. If it's for a clumsi or young child, don't do it. The plastic frame that holds the PSP doesn't sit well, it can be tricky to line up the two connectors. One wrong push when placeing the PSP on the stand and opps it's gone. The latch to have the PSP tilt at a viewable angle is also plastic and only supports one side so again a little delicate.

Aside from listening to music most mobile phone users are also avid gamers. Gamers range from CPU, Laptops, PSP, and Gameboy to mobile phones. Graphically, your first choice for gaming would be a PlayStation Portable or a GameBoy or stuff like that. Last, of course, would be playing on your phone. If you don't have much of a choice, you stick with your phone and painstakingly play away and absorb the poor graphics.

Playing games on the mobile phone is not quite entertaining compared to PSP's or Gameboy's since you can't get visual quality no matter how cool the game is. So those game addicts prefer to lug around a PSP or a GameBoy since it is more visually entertaining. So you would need to wear pants with extra or big pockets for it or bring a bag with you or just hang it around your neck. Of course you would look like you're showing off but for all they know it you are already agonizingly putting up with the stiff neck.

But a 3D feature on your mobile phone displaces everything about gaming. Plus you get to answer your phone whenever somebody calls in the middle of a game. Unlike portable game gadgets, you sometimes miss a call on your mobile phone just because you have game earphones on or you did not hear it or forgot to have it vibrate when you get a call. Just make sure the game your downloading is 3D compatible. You surely will need an extra battery for that or bring a charger with you. Just in case you run out of juice during traveling.

How to Put Movies On Your PSP

Have you been pulling your hair out trying to put movies on your PSP? Many folks know it can be done but are confused on how to do it.

I am going to give you my quick and easy recipe for putting movies and video on your PSP. There are only a few steps and it is a cinch on you know how.

First like any recipe...You have your ingredients:

512 MB Pro Duo Stick (This is what holds your movie files (MP4)

DVD Player installed in your computer

DVD Ripper (This pulls the movie from the DVD to your computer)

PSP Video Converter (converts movie and video files to MP4 format that you watch on your PSP.)

(Note: There is software that has both the DVD Ripper and Converter combined)

USB Cable

1. Load your DVD and fire up your DVD ripper, select the movie or video you want to put on your PSP and hit the "extract" or "rip" button. Tell it where you want to save the file to.

2. If you already have movie and/or video files on your pc then all you need to do is hit "add" from your DVD ripper and tell it where you want to save the file to.

3. Select the file that you saved to your computer and hit the "extract and/or encode" button from your PSP video converter and save that file.

3. If you have DVD Ripper/PSP Video converter combo software...You can combine steps 1,2 and 3.

At this point you have the files on your PC...and they are in the correct format.

4. How to download or transfer your movies to PSP? Just connect your PSP with your PC with the USB cable, and create a folder on your Memory Stick called "MP_ROOT." and create a sub-folder called "100MNV01." under it. Copy your MP4 files to this location (no need to copy the .HTM files).

5. Now on your PSP go to video and memory stick and watch your movie!

That's it. It is real simple to put movies on your PSP!

NFL The Game - Madden 08 On PSP

Launched last month, NFL Madden 08 for PSP is a good football game but not as good as the game that came out last year. The game still has bugs that were not completely eliminated from last year's issue. Examples of these are the punt returns by the receiving teams. Punt returners often exhibit confusing actions on what to do with the ball. Other bugs include receivers and defensive backs getting entangled without getting a whistle from the referee for pass interference call. It doesn't happen very often but it becomes frustrating for a gamer if it does.

What's new on madden NFL 08?

The addition of the "weapons system" on Madden PSP appears to be a great new feature. Yes, it is, but this one is pretty much evident on console systems like PlayStation 3 and Xbox wherein you can differentiate specific types of players. With icons attached to each player, you can now differentiate between an average quarterback or a clutch quarterback, a speedy receiver from a power receiver. Planning your game strategy is more exciting because you can now exploit mismatches among opposing teams. With the PSP version, all the players seem to play and act the same way. There is no distinction whether the player is an average one or is a superstar, thus the excitement is not the same as playing on the console version. Another added feature is the Madden NFL 08 superstar mode preview. It replaced the End-2-End of last year. These are the best plays scenarios from last season's NFL and this will give you a chance to play them out yourself. However, there are only 25 of these scenarios and chances are you can finish all of them in a couple of days.

Final Word

NFL the Game, Madden 08 on PSP is fine football game as it was last year. PSP graphics are sharper and crisper with the ability to distinguish players' faces and details on their uniforms. The game still has a long way to go to be classified as a first rate football game. If you have Madden 07, you can definitely get by without the Madden 08. It just doesn't justify the additional cost to be incurred. The game is practically the same with little modifications.
